Ånge Municipality is a small community located between Sundsvall and Östersund, offering a high quality of life where nature and the beautiful Ljungan river valley are always close by. The municipality provides excellent basic services, including shops, a health center, recreational facilities, and a rich cultural offering. Sundsvall, Östersund, and the Härjedalen mountains are all within a 1 to 1.5-hour drive. Direct trains to Stockholm take 4 hours. For more information, visit www.ange.se (https://www.ange.se).

Responsibilities

The role is divided into two time-equivalent assignments:

1. Project Management within an EU Project

You will lead Ånge Municipality's work package in a six-year EU project focused on business and societal development related to hydrogen and the green transition. The entire project is led by RISE and involves a total of 45 regional, national, and international partners.

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and implementing the municipality's contributions to the project. You will lead processes, meetings, and working groups, actively driving the work towards the project's goals.

2. Business Development Liaison (Establishment Lot)

You will take over responsibility for a vital and successful initiative that has been ongoing for several years, leading to planned industrial investments worth billions of SEK in Ånge Municipality.

Your role will be to continue developing the municipality's establishment work and collaborate with companies wishing to establish themselves in Ånge. As a Business Development Liaison, you will guide companies through the entire process—from initial contact to the decision to establish.

Your task is to match companies' needs with the municipality's conditions and contribute to relevant establishments in Ånge. You will assess the interest, seriousness, and financial conditions of actors and work to connect companies with land, local entrepreneurs, and other relevant stakeholders.

The assignment also includes dialogue with landowners and collaboration with regional and national actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an interest and commitment to business and societal development.

You have relevant academic education in fields such as social sciences, political science, economics, communication, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, or equivalent experience. Experience working in a leading position within the business sector, providing an understanding of business conditions, is an asset. Experience in development work at the interface between the public sector, academia, and business is also an asset.

Given the international nature of the project component, you must be comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English. To work across our entire municipal geography, you must hold a Class B driver's license.

We will place great emphasis on you as a person. You are skilled at building relationships and collaborating. You can switch quickly between strategic and operational work. You are engaged and see the opportunities in acting within a smaller organization where decision-making and communication channels are short, but where resources are sometimes limited, which fosters creativity and collaboration. Communication permeates everything you do. Through your drive and social competence, you will become a vital cog in the driven and positive team at the Community Planning Department.

We offer a permanent position at 100% (40 hours/week). Working hours are based on operational needs but are flexible and can be partially remote. We offer subsidized wellness benefits worth 2,000 SEK/year via the Epassi service, as well as one hour of wellness time per week.
